MALIA PATTULLO –

Voice of the Festival & Ukrainian Dance Powerhouse
Bringing the energy to the mic this each year is Malia! A Ukrainian dancer since the age of 3, she’s performed with Sadok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Camrose Veselka Ukrainian Dancers, and Camrose Academy of Dance. Now, she’s dancing with the worldrenowned Ukrainian Shumka Dancers while completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at MacEwan University. “Seven years of celebrating passion, artistry, and culture! Leave the stress behind, trust your training, and let your love for dance shine on stage!"

TANYA PATTULLO (PUKAL) –

Festival Co-Organizer & Everywhere Extraordinaire!
If you need directions, have a question, or just want to chat, Tanya is your go-to! She’s here, there, and everywhere, making sure the festival runs smoothly. A lifelong lover of Ukrainian dance, she grew up with a deep respect for her culture thanks to her parents, Lou & Vera Pukal. A trip to Ukraine with Cobblestone Freeway Tours further deepened her appreciation. Working alongside the Joyce family to bring Culture FUZE to life has been an incredible experience! "Seven years of dance, culture, and community! A huge thank-you to our incredible Culture FUZE team—you make the magic happen. And to the Camrose community, your support keeps this festival thriving! Enjoy the performances, explore the city, and celebrate with us!"

RICHARD PATTULLO –

Backstage Coordinator & Master of Logistics
You’ll find Richard zipping around backstage, ensuring dancers and instructors are exactly where they need to be. His dedication and energy help keep the festival running seamlessly. If you need help, just ask—he’s always happy to assist! “Kicking off another amazing season with the best dancers and community—let's make it unforgettable!"

BROOKLYN PATTULLO –

Digital Recording Secretray & Accomplished Dancer
Keeping everything running behind the scenes is Brooklyn, who started dancing at 3 in Vernon, BC and has performed with Sadok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and Camrose Veselka Ukrainian Dancers. A versatile dancer, she trained in ballet, jazz, and contemporary at Camrose Academy of Dance and now dances with Studia Shumka. She’s also pursuing a Biology Major at the University of Alberta—talk about multitasking! “Ukrainian dance is more than steps—it's tradition, community, and storytelling. Embrace the moment, cherish the connections, and dance from the heart!"

Joyce Family

WESLEY JOYCE –

Wesley is in his 4 year at the University of Calgary, studying Accounting. He plans to then get his CPA designation while practicing in Camrose. His favourite sport is Roundnet. Wes took Ukrainian dance lessons for many years, which he says helps with his Roundnet. Wes will join rejoin the Culture FUZE group in 2027!

MITCHELL JOYCE –

Mitchell is a second year student-athlete, playing for the Lakeland College Rustlers Soccer Team and studying business. He will miss helping this year and can’t wait for his return! As Mitchell says, Culture FUZE is an important event to help promote Ukrainian culture in Canada. "Go RUSTLERS and get your dance on!"

AUTUMN JOYCE –

Autumn plays competitive soccer in Edmonton and is hoping to make a post secondary team next year. She wants to be an Elementary school teacher. Autumn plays an active role with scheduling, is in charge of Awards, and can often be found upfront or backstage helping as needed. Regardless of where she is, you will always see her on stage handing out medals. She misses Ukrainian dance and is hoping to have time to dance again as an adult.

KYLA JOYCE –

What Kyla appreciates most about Culture FUZE is the connections that are created, new people come each year and new relationships are made that wouldn’t have been otherwise. She loves to see all the new clubs who join each year, and is equally moved by the clubs who have been supporting us since the beginning. “As I think about the total number of dancers, Instructors, families and friends, all here in Camrose for this festival that Tanya and I started, I am proud. Thank you for supporting us and thank you for coming to Camrose! I will always acknowledge my late mom, Vera, for her influence in my life. I will think of her many times this weekend and reflect on the guidance, support and conversations that I greatly miss. Also, to my husband, thank you for your dedication in the middle of tax season! I look forward to another wonderful weekend of dance and culture!”
